Faiz Ahmed ‘s Story
Faiz Ahmed, a 74-year-old resident of Dipalpur, has endured a lot of stress and pain over the last few months. Three years ago, while working in the fields, he suffered a terrible accident resulting in the amputation of his right leg below the knee. Since then, he had been unable to perform his daily activities and was dependent on his family for everything. He was eagerly waiting for an artificial leg that would allow him to walk again and regain his independence. But he could not afford to pay for it due to financial constraints.
Faiz reached out to Transparent Hands, and we registered his case. Under the supervision of Dr. Khalid at Hope Rehabilitation Centre, his right below-knee prosthesis was performed on 30-05-2023. He was overjoyed to be able to walk again after receiving an artificial leg.
The transformation in Faiz’s life was nothing short of remarkable. With the aid of his new artificial leg, he experienced a newfound sense of freedom and independence. He regained control over his life when he was able to walk without the assistance of others, which led to a significant boost in his sense of self-worth.
