Provide Emergency Food in Armenia

during the last week of September, Azerbaijan seized the entirety of Nagorno-Karabakh—a disputed region in the South Caucasus. As a result, tens of thousands of people have fled to Armenia to escape the increased hostilities. First arriving in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, our team is working with Chef Aline Kamakian and volunteers from the Armenian General Benevolent Union.
The number of people in need of support has increased to over 100,000 as families continue crossing into Armenia in search of safety. WCK has established strong culinary partnerships in Armenia, and our team is currently providing warm meals, sandwiches, and water to families in need as they cross the border into the country.
This is a quickly evolving situation and our team is working to identify communities in need. Our Relief Team also worked alongside Chef Aline in 2022 when she supported our work in Lebanon following the Beirut explosion that devastated the city.
